Change Your Heat Source

With a warm water central heating system, there is the flexibility of how the water is heated. Over the years we have had customers that have changed the heat source originally installed, from gas to diesel, from diesel to biomass or to air-to-water heat pump.

You can do this because there is the same delivery system in the house so in general, it is an easy transition. This ensures, that as things may change with energy in the future, your heating system can be optimised over the years.

Pre-pipe for a Later Date

For new houses built with a concrete floor slab, the best investment you can make is to install warm water underfloor heating pipes in the slab. It is a once-off opportunity that costs around $5,000* (for a standard 2020 house). The system can then be completed at a later date or when is convenient.

*Price is an estimation based on a standard home in 2020, prices are subject to change due to home size, requirements. The confirmed price will be provided by Central Heating New Zealand.
