VarioComp
VarioComp is a light-weight underfloor system that can be used in both new and existing houses. The pipes used are installed in a reinforced gypsum board panel, then filled with a screed to fill the panel voids and provide a finished level for leveling compounds or floor coverings to be applied.
VarioComp Underfloor
Central Heating New Zealand offers the VarioComp Floor Heating System, which has a thin profile that can be laid over solid or timber floors and as such is an excellent choice for renovations and structures with a low weight requirement. This water-based system is compatible with a variety of energy sources, so it is future-proof should you choose to change your energy source later on.
Like other forms of underfloor heating, VarioComp uses water-filled pipes to carry warmth throughout the home. The radiant heat emanating from these pipes is healthy and comfortable, providing the ideal heat distribution for the human body (warmest at feet, coolest near head).
Unlike the traditional in-slab method of underfloor heating, VarioComp sits on top of the concrete slab and has additional insulation on the sides and bottom, which reduces heat loss and consequently raises efficiency.
VarioComp Components
Variomodular Pipe 11.6 x 1.5mm
Pipes are spaced at 100mm centres, providing excellent efficiency. This enables the heat source powering the system to operate at a very low temperature, which is ideal for renewable energy systems.
Compact Filling Compound 25 kg
After being poured, the compound is levelled for the floor coverings. The total height is 20mm (without polystyrene), making it ideal for it to be retrofitted in existing buildings or in very thermally efficient new buildings. Floor coverings can be installed directly onto the VarioComp system.
Compact Panel 1000 x 600 x 18 mm
Panel can be installed on a concrete or wooden floor either directly or on a thin layer of polystyrene.

ModuleWall
Wall heating is one of the oldest forms of heating. The Romans already knew the value of the comfortable warmth provided by wall heating, and used this method to heat their homes. With water-based wall heating, the surface of the entire wall is quickly and evenly heated up using a pipe system. During the summer, the ModuleWall can be used to cool the room to a comfortable temperature.
ModuleCeiling
Ceiling cooling helps you keep a cool head on hot days. It’s a healthy alternative to standard air conditioning systems and can also be installed in existing offices, meeting rooms, family homes and apartments. The rooms are cooled over the entire ceiling and an even, comfortable room temperature is created. During the winter, the ModuleCeiling will heat your room to a comfortable and cosy temperature so you’ll feel comfortable all year round. The surface of the ModuleCeiling can also have a sound-absorbing acoustic function.
Trench Heaters
Floor to ceiling windows give a sense of freedom and create a wonderful view onto the outside. However, windows are poor insulators and at low temperatures, the room feels uncomfortably cool. With the Variotherm trench heating system the room is shielded from the cold outside while being comfortably warm inside therefore preventing the collection of condensate on the glass surfaces.
Skirting heating systems are quick to install, whether in a new building or as part of a refurbishment project/existing build. They are installed on the inner room side of outside walls close to the floor. Within a short space of time a gentle veil of warm air builds up, which circulates along cold surfaces. It screens off the cold from the outside and warms the cool wall. As a result, radiant heat ensures a comfortably warm room climate.
